The 8-12 Physical Science content area
allows you to teach science in 8th grade and all physics and chemistry
courses* in 9th grade through 12th grade.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 in 24 semester hours, in any combination of science
courses to include at least:
- 9 hours of chemistry
- 9 hours of physics
Note: GPA must be 2.5 or higher using
one of the three evaluation methods – overall GPA, last 60 hours, or
by content hours.
*Includes Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Principles of Technology I
and II, and Scientific Research and Design in grades 9 through 12.
