The History 8-12 content area allows you
to teach social studies in 8th grade and all history courses in 9th
grade through 12th grade.
Requirement for Admission:
Individuals applying for the History 8-12 certification area should
have a minimum of 12 semester hours of college coursework in history
related courses.
Alternatively, you can take the #133 History 8-12 TExES
certification exam if you don’t meet the minimum hour requirement.
