The Life Science 8-12 content
area allows you to teach science in 8th grade and all biology
courses, environmental and aquatic sciences, and all Health
Science Technology courses in 9th grade through 12th grade.
Requirement for Admission:
Individuals applying for the Life Science 8-12 certification
area should have a minimum of 12 semester hours of college
coursework in biology related courses.
Alternatively, you can take the #138 Life Science 8-12 TExES
certification exam if you don’t meet the minimum hour
requirement.
