The Mathematics 8-12 content area allows you to teach mathematics in 8th grade and all mathematics courses in 9th grade through 12th grade.

Requirement for Admission:

Individuals applying for the Mathematics 8-12 certification area should have a minimum of 12 semester hours of college coursework in math related courses (this can include statistics classes).

Alternatively, you can take the #135 Mathematics 8-12 TExES certification exam if you don’t meet the minimum hour requirement.
