If you qualify for one of the special promotions listed below, you will
receive a discounted training and internship/clinical teaching fee. Your
training fee will be discounted to $225 to start the online program. You will
also receive a $400 stipend to help reduce your internship/clinical teaching fee
amount.
The special promotion rates will apply to applicants
that apply to the program between July 16, 2010 and Dec 15, 2010.

Critical Need Promotion:
This promotion applies to applicants that are
accepted into the online program in one of the critical needs areas listed
below.
Bilingual: EC-6 Bilingual or 4-8 Bilingual
Spanish: LOTE-Spanish
Mathematics: 4-8 Mathematics or 8-12
Mathematics
Science: 4-8 Science, 8-12 Science, 8-12
Life Science, or 8-12 Physical Science
Special Education: EC-12 Special Ed – must
also pass EC-6 Generalist or 4-8 Generalist
Instructional Aide Promotion:
This
promotion applies to applicants currently employed as an instructional aide in a
school district in Texas.
You must provide a service record or letter
from the school district (stating your employment with the district as an
instructional aide in Texas). Applicants with previous instructional aide
assignment experience, but are not currently employed as an instructional aide,
will not be eligible for the special promotion rates or discounts.
Long-Term or Resident
Substitute:
This promotion applies to applicants that are
currently a long-term substitute with a district or have completed long-term
substitute tenure during the 2009-2010 school year. The previous assignment
during the 2009-2010 school year must have lasted at least two months to qualify
for the special promotion.
Resident substitutes currently working at a district
will also qualify for the special promotion. A resident substitute reports to
the same school every day for substitute assignments.
You must provide documentation from your school or
district to confirm your long-term or resident substitute
status.
