If you are enrolled in your final semester of coursework, you can begin the alternative certification program on a provisional basis. You will be eligible to begin coursework and take your TExES certification exam while you are finishing the requirements for your degree.
Contingency admission will be valid for only the semester for which the contingency status was granted and may not be extended for another semester.
Graduate during fall 2010 – you can begin the program from Sept 1st to December 15th
Graduate during spring 2011 – you can begin the program from January 2nd to May 15th
GPA Requirement: Must have a overall GPA of 2.75 or a 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of coursework
WCACP requires all contingency admission applicants to attempt their designated TExES certification exam within 3 months of starting the online curriculum. If this requirement has not been completed, an extension fee will be required to continue the online program.
