The Web-Centric Alternative Certification Program is an accelerated route to become a certified teacher in Texas. This timeline is a brief overview of the process to receive your Texas teacher certification.

Submit an online application

Your first step is to submit an online application. There is no application fee.

Program Acceptance

Once we receive your official transcript and admission paperwork, you can be reviewed for program acceptance.

Online Curriculum and Classes

The online curriculum and classes can be done in the comforts of your residence. Online modules can be completed at your own pace.

Content and PPR Exam

Interactive study material and sample tests will be provided for your content and PPR exam through our approved recommended resources.

Field Experience

You have the option to complete a paid one-year teaching internship or a non-paid 14-week clinical teaching assignment.

Certified Teacher

Once your field experience assignment is complete, you will be eligible to be recommended for your standard teaching certificate. Your teaching certificate will be valid for 5 years.
