1. Is the TExES and PACT the same test?
Yes. The TExES and PACT is the same test.
2. Should I apply to the program before I pass the PACT?
Yes. You should apply to the program while you are in the process of taking the PACT. This will allow adequate time to receive all your
application documents in a timely manner (i.e., official transcripts,
reference forms, and all administrative paperwork). See the

3. Will I be able to take additional content exams once I’m accepted?
Yes. Please review the
Program Acceptance – Test Approval page that
explains in detail how additional test approvals will be granted once
you are accepted into the program.

5. Do I need to retake the TExES exam once I’m enrolled in the
alternative certification program?
Once you pass the PACT, you will
not be required to retake the content exam once enrolled in WCACP.
6. Who do I contact if I have trouble
registering for the PACT?

7. Do I need a Bachelor’s degree to be
able to sign up for the PACT?
Yes. You must have a conferred
Bachelor’s degree to be able to sign up for the PACT.
8. Are other options available to take
my content exam other than the Paper-Based Test (PBT)?
Yes. WCACP recommends taking the
Computer-Administered Test (CAT) if your designated content test is
offered as an administration choice.
9. Which tests are offered with the
Computer-Administered Test (CAT)?

10. What is the price of the
Computer-Administered Test (CAT)?
The test fee is $120.
