1. Receive online application with $50 application fee
2. Receive official transcripts from all universities/colleges
3. Receive PACT score report, if applicable
4. Receive four completed reference forms
5. Receive completed payroll deduction form
6. Receive handbook policy form
7. Receive completed online questionnaire
8. Student email account – test email received by staff

 

]]> http://www.online-distance-learning-education.com/faq/content/2/13/en/how-long-does-it-take-to-be-accepted-in-the-alternative-certification-program.html Wed, 02 Sep 2009 15:00:00 GMT <![CDATA[Do comparable out of state exams replace the mandated TExES content and PPR exams required by SBEC/TEA to become a certified teacher?]]> The comparable out of state exams listed on the link below can be used for admission into an alternative certification program.  However, the comparable out of state exams do not replace the two mandated state content exams required by SBEC/TEA to become a certified teacher.  You will still be required to take the TExES content and PPR exam by the end of your probationary year to be recommended for your Standard Teaching certificate.

Comparable out of state exam scores should be submitted to WCACP when you apply.  The test scores can help show proficiency in content areas you tested out of on in another state.
