Clinical Teaching Requirements

Once enrolled in the online program, you will need to complete several program requirements in order to be eligible for a clinical teaching placement. A WCACP staff member will work with you closely to ensure you are making adequate progress towards your certification. Our work is not complete until you have achieved your goal of becoming a certified teacher in Texas.

Items necessary for CT placement:

	TExES content exam passed
	30 clock hours of field based observations (15 can be done virtually)
	Fingerprinting process complete
	Be actively working on program curriculum and classes

Prior to starting your clinical teaching assignment, you will be responsible for completing the first two sections of the curriculum. The first two sections of the curriculum can typically be completed in 1-4 weeks.
