About Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (C-FBISD)
encompasses 53.42 square miles primarily located in south east Dallas
County with a smaller portion in south east Denton County. The school
district's boundaries are not the same as municipal boundaries;
therefore, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD provides instructional services
to children who live in portions of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison,
Coppell, Dallas, and Irving. The district contains twenty seven
elementary schools (PreK-5), six middle schools, five high schools, and
three Special Programs Centers (K-8/9-12). The total student enrollment
as of October 2007 was 26,222.
The teachers and administration of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD strive
to keep open lines of communication with students and families. Parents
are taught to help understand and support their child’s learning
process. Parenting classes are offered throughout the year on a number
of topics such as, Parenting Your Child with Love & Logic, Internet
Safety (MySpace), Hope for Underachieving Kids, and ADD in the 21st
Century.
