Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Spanish

Beginning January 1, 2014, teaching candidates must pass the BTLPT in order to receive a probationary certificate for Bilingual education. This means a teaching candidate must pass the BTLPT before a school district can hire him/her for a full-time teaching position.

Bilingual Generalist EC-6: Allows you to teach general or bilingual classes Early Childhood through 6th grade.

Bilingual Supplemental: Allows you to take the Generalist EC-6 exam separately. Additional testing fees will apply.

BTLPT: Language and oral proficiency test for bilingual education

Teaching candidates issued a probationary certificate in the fall of 2013 in Bilingual education will have until January 1, 2014 to pass the BTLPT.
