The Science 4-8 content area allows
you to teach science at the 7th and 8th grade level.
Requirement for Admission:
Individuals applying for the Science 4-8 certification area should
have a minimum of 12 semester hours of college coursework in science
related courses (i.e., biology, chemistry, physics, or related
science classes).
Alternatively, you can take the #116 Science 4-8 TExES certification
exam if you don’t meet the minimum hour requirement.
