The 4-8 English Language Arts and
Reading/Social Studies content area allows you to teach English or
social studies at the middle school level, 4th grade through 8th
grade.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 in 36 semester hours, in any combination of English
and social studies courses to include at least:
- 12 hours of English
- 6 hours of history
- 3 hours of government and/or
political science
- 3 hours of economics
Note: GPA must be 2.5 or higher using
one of the three evaluation methods – overall GPA, last 60 hours, or
by content hours.
