The Bilingual Generalist 4-8 content
area allows you to teach any one or a combination of English, math,
science and/or social studies classes in a bilingual classroom at
the middle school level, 4th grade through 8th grade.
Requirement for Admission:
Individuals applying for the Bilingual Generalist 4-8 certification
area should have a minimum of 12 semester hours of college
coursework (3 hours of English, 3 hours of math, 3 hours of science,
& 3 hours of social studies).
Alternatively, you can take the #119 Bilingual Generalist 4-8 TExES
certification exam if you don’t meet the minimum hour requirement.
